Having read the Tanakh, New Testament, Mahabharata & many other religious screeds, I decided to read the Qur’an: never have I been more disappointed. This “holy book” reads like a drunken Baptist preacher repeating himself at each fire & brimstone Sunday sermon. Very little original thought & some extremely offensive and inappropriate texts. I had no idea murdering daughters in Arabia was so common that the Qur’an bans the murder…repeatedly. Gays are allowed to be forgiven if they’re sorry: not lesbians. Of course, reading the Quran is a wonderful opportunity to understand antisemitism and current events. The Quran teaches that Arabs are the “just inheritors” of Israel — the Land of the Jews. Someone needs to remind Mohammed Jews aren’t extinct…and remind Hamas that even their own Book says Israel is for Jews. My favorite section in the whole book is when Mo complains that the Tanakh was too complicated. Bless his heart, that’s not a reason to bastardize a religion.
