To earn 5 stars you should be close to perfection. Brown was not in this story. He failed to take a closer religious perspective. His tendency towards atheism stood out. His disdain for the Catholic Church was prominent. Time matters when it comes to Creation. 6 days in God’s time is billions of years. Obviously if we lived on Mercury days would be much shorter and on Jupiter much longer. Earth is perfect when you consider that it is a perfect distance to the sun and our moon controls our tides perfectly. Humans would not exist were it not true. Most species were created separately. Man did not evolve from apes. The Holy Spirit is separate from our minds and body. If you’ve had a near death experience you may have noticed it. While homosexuality is a problem in most religions but why point it out in the Catholic Church? His take on AI was fascinating. While it was a very good book, wish he would have been more objective in his thought process.

The tying in of Miller and Urey’s experiment to the need of the universe to spread energy was intriguing. I was left with one question thou; If life evolves because in each step it is becoming better at dissipating heat, does the next step in evolution proposed in the book continue that improvement?
  • Not as good as DC or Inferno

The plot was not as interesting, and the setting in Spain wasn’t as interesting as the other Langdon novels. There wasn’t nearly as much puzzle solving for Langdon as the other books. The content was good though.

After all the thriller books, packed with an unbelievable account of ancient art, and ceremony……. He actually blew all those out the water with his book ‘Original.’ Refuse to give any details away, but I promise you this……….. it is worth reading, best book I have ever read; and 100 percent relative to our modern times!!!!
