What’s the ending?

Awesome book. So well written

I liked the last five chapters. I know to appreciate the last five, I needed to get through the first 15. I liked Lara and her girls and Joe. I liked Sebastian. Duke was very self-centered. He couldn’t stay focused so he changed women and characters. He was faithful when it suited him. Ann Patchett people’s her stories with real live interesting characters. I’m glad I’ve met those in this story. I’m just impatient at how long it took.

Interesting novel about a mother and three daughters. Since it jumped around from the present to the past, I found it somewhat hard to follow. Also, the characters seemed distant to me.

Reviews shouldn’t be forced on us.

Everyone will want to live at Tom Lake. This family has rich layers.

I loved everything about this book. The characters, some perfect, some flawed, but every single one was a warm hug at one point or another as this beautiful story unfolded. Even the few slow parts were beautifully written to culminate into an unexpected ending. Thank you Ms. Patcher for sharing this heartwarming and heartbreaking story with all of us.
